Six colors in their own dedicated pans. Select any number of colors in the purchase area above.
01Dokkaebi motif · Brown
Start with a branch, a clay pot or a patch of earth. Use the brown in small details, then explore a whole subject with just this one color.
Try: branches · pottery · earth
02Roof-tile motif
Think of sunlit walls, dry grasses and a late-afternoon landscape. Try an ochre wash as a starting point, then add small brown details once the paper is dry.
Try: dry grasses · walls · warm landscapes
03Floral motif
Look for quiet greens in moss, leaf studies and a small garden. Leave some paper unpainted and explore how the green sits beside the white space.
Try: moss · leaves · garden sketches
04Landscape motif
Take a stream, a distant hillside or a cool-toned object as your subject. Make a small test wash first and compare the color while wet and after it dries.
Try: water · distant hills · cool-toned objects
05Norigae motif
Explore an evening sky or the folds of blue fabric. Paint a simple subject in one color, letting each layer dry before deciding where to add another.
Try: evening skies · fabric · one-color studies
06Lotus motif
Begin with new leaves, stems or a single potted plant. Place it beside Earth Green in a leaf study and discover which green you prefer for each part.
Try: new leaves · stems · potted plants
These are ideas for your painting, rather than exact color or performance specifications. Try each color on your own paper: the result depends on the paper, water and amount of paint.

02 / WHAT IS IN ONE PAN
Hand filling and drying can leave small bubbles, edge marks and variations in the paint surface. Mineral settling and texture vary by color.
03 / A LITTLE WATER, YOUR OWN PACE
Prepare a brush, clean water and watercolor paper. Touch a damp brush to the paint, let the surface soften for about 10–20 seconds, then pick up the color gently. Add water a little at a time rather than flooding the pan.
Try a brushstroke on spare paper first. More water can give a lighter wash; pick up more paint for a stronger mark. Let each layer dry before adding the next, and check the color again after drying. The layer preview above is a visual guide.
Rinse your brush before moving to another color. After painting, let the pan dry fully before storing it and avoid leaving water pooled on the paint. Do not ingest; wash hands after use and keep away from children.

This is a prepared-pan format. The paint is held in a pan for gradual activation with water. Read the instructions for the registered product before use.
Natural color has its own material character. A color name and a screen image are useful starting points, but the actual formulation, grade and painted swatch provide the specific product information.
Choose paper or a prepared ground suited to the product. Test before working on the finished piece.
Make the first wash a study in the material. Notice its movement, surface and drying before the next layer.
